Recent studies from Gallup have revealed that engagement in the workplace is at an all-time low, especially in restaurants. According to Gallup, only 31 percent of restaurant workers are engaged in their jobs, leaving 49 percent not engaged and 21 percent actively disengaged. This is undoubtedly contributing to the ongoing recruiting and turnover challenges facing restaurant operators. However, employee engagement doesn’t have to be a huge mountain to climb.
