Marketing & Human Resources Summits, New to 2017 Global Best Practices Agenda
2017 is almost here, and it promises to be historically challenging for the foodservice industry. According to Greg Creed, CEO of YUM Brands, and past winner of the Workplace Legacy Award, the “guest experience can’t exceed the employee experience.” The TDn2K™ team couldn’t agree more and is excited to kick off the 2017 Global Best Practices Conference with two opening summits. Designed by and for HR and Marketing leaders, these sessions will focus on the challenges and opportunities confronting restaurant operators. This conference is always an anticipated gathering of the best minds and talent in the industry. This year, we have upgraded the format to maximize engagement and ensure that attendees have more time to network with peers and leave with actionable, specialized insights. The Marketing Summit and the HR Summit will both take place on Monday morning, January 30th and are open to all attendees.
Who said this is just an HR conference? Chaired by Allison Hill, VP of Marketing at Miller’s Ale House, our 2017 Marketing Summit is an opportunity to spend three hours with industry experts, thought leaders and your peers exploring the issues that are impacting your job and your brand. We will share trends, perspective and best practices critical to gaining a competitive advantage in this brutal struggle for winning our share of sales and happy guests.
Summit speakers will tackle issues such as corporate social responsibility that builds business results and engages employees, threading the data needle, leveraging guest data and insights for a competitive advantage, the changing face of the consumer and managing your career as C-suite turnover accelerates. Expect lively discussions about these topics and more.
The summit will include: Diana Hovey, Senior Director of No Kid Hungry at Share Our Strength and former Chief Marketing Officer of Corner Bakery Cafe; Brandon Hill, Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer at BTC Revolutions; Amanda Hite, Co-Founder and CEO of BTC Revolutions; Ryan Scott, CEO of Causecast; and other industry experts and brand leaders.
Chaired by Lynne Bartusek, SVP of Human Resources at Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen, this session will provide expert speakers to address the post-election workplace and the crucial topics of talent acquisition and retention in this hyper-competitive labor market.
People Report™ data reports that both employee and manager turnover rates are at historic highs, and retention of talent is board-level topic and priority. Says Bartusek, “We have a group of expert speakers who are going to give practical and powerful strategies for holistic retention. With talent retention at the top of everybody’s list, we must tackle it with a full arsenal of tactics from strong cultures to innovative incentives and flawless leadership. We will be learning about how the best manage turnover and discussing it through the lens of how the next administration will impact the service sector overall.”
The HR Summit will also feature industry and expert speakers including: Jamie Griffin, Founder and Principal of Good Workforce; Ronald Bellamy, Chief Improvement Officer at Flynn Restaurant Group; and Joe Kefauver, Managing Partner at Align Public Strategies.
